Mobile Fidelity announces six Van Halen SACD, vinyl reissues

Sets are remastered from original analog tapes

Mobile Fidelity has partnered with Rhino Records to release Van Halen’s first six albums on SACD and 180 gram 45 rpm vinyl. Van Halen, Van Halen II, Women and Children First, Fair Warning, Diver Down and 1984 all receive the hybrid SACD and Limited Edition UltraDisc One-Step 45rpm Vinyl 2 LP treatment.

Exclusively limited to 10,000 numbered copies, each UD1S box set will be mastered from the original analog master tapes, pressed at RTI on MoFi SuperVinyl. In addition to the limited edition UltraDisc One-Step 45 rpm vinyl, the numbered edition Super Audio CDs (SACDs) will be packaged in a mini-gatefold sleeve and will be mastered from the original tapes. The first of six studio albums, Van Halen (1978), should be released in the fourth quarter of 2022, and will be followed by Van Halen II (1979), Women and children first (1980), warning fairg (1981), diver down (1982), and 1984 (1984).

Mobile Fidelity’s UltraDisc One-Step 180 gram 45 RPM 2 LP vinyl editions of the band’s first six albums are available for pre-order now from, the largest online retailer of premium audio products for the House. and audiophile music, equipment and accessories, including vinyl records and turntables. Pre-orders for a standard three-step 180 gram 45 RPM 2 LP process will be announced at a later date.
